The transfer window closed and Ochoa is still the backup at Malaga. Hector Moreno is still at Espanyol. And Alan Pulido is still doing everything but playing soccer. While the transfer rumors never cease, no one is moving until the summer so lets focus back on the actual games…..
SATURDAY (click on games for TV info)
9:00AM- Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid– I’ll set the over/under on number of Mexicans playing at .5 and I feel confident about taking the under.
9:00AM- Watford v Blackburn (Not on TV)- The Championship is arguably the most competitive league in the world and Layun has adapted well to his new club.
11:00AM- Hellas Verona v Torino– Rafa might have taken a paycut to go back to Europe but his agent found another way topossibly make some of that back.
11:00AM- Villarreal v Granada– Although Villarreal did not get the result they wanted, they showed plenty of heart and fight against Barcelona. The Dos Santos hermanos were a big reason why.
11:30PM- Twente v Excelsior– A Europa League spot is within Tecatito’s grasp.
1:00PM- Malaga v Levante– Memo’s season is likely done 🙁 unless the #1 keeper gets hurt or loses his current form.
1:45PM- PSV v FC Utrecht– Guardado is everything PSV needs right now and is a crucial player for them as they will likely win the Eredivisie title in a few months.
2:15PM- FC Porto v Moreirense– While Diego Reyes is not on the callup sheet for this game, he has been added to Porto’s Champions League squad.
3:00PM- Real Sociedad v Celta Vigo– Carlitos is out for about 2 months. Moyes will have to find another way of generating an attack.
SUNDAY
10:00AM- Vitoria v Academica– Davila seems to have found a team where he can play plenty of first team minutes. This is important if he wants to be called up to one of the Mexico teams this summer.
12:ooPM- Espanyol v Valencia– Luckily for Moreno and El Tri, his injury last week was minor and he has since passed a fitness test.
MONDAY
1:45PM- Rayo Vallecano v Elche– Aquino needs to finish the year like he began it, if not, his spot in in Mexico’s competitive midfield might be gone.
